Lin Wang

During this Virtual Mobility, a standardized metadata collection framework for salt-affected soils within the SUSTAIN network. The work included designing a comprehensive questionnaire in KoboToolbox (Soil Salinity Survey and Data Collection), initiating outreach and data collection from partners, and compiling the first datasets for integration into an open-access platform. These outcomes provide the foundation for building a scalable, high-quality metadata database to support research on soil salinity across Europe and beyond.

As part of my Virtual Mobility grant (March 15– September 1, 2025), I organized, coordinated, and promoted five webinars in the COST Action SUSTAIN Webinar Series. These sessions were developed in close collaboration with the Working Group (WG) leaders, vice-leaders, and the action chair to highlight the activities of WG1–WG6 and to enhance cross-group visibility.
