Deadline Extension: SUSTAIN COST Action Annual Meeting Application Now Open Until April 7, 2025

We are pleased to announce that the application deadline for the second Annual Meeting of SUSTAIN COST Action CA21144 has been extended to April 7, 2025. This extension provides additional time for interested participants to apply and join us for this prestigious event, which will be held on June 23-24, 2025, at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

The Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 5th Edition of the International Conference OBSIDIAN – “Plant Productivity and Food Safety: Microbiology, Soil Science, Food Quality, and Agricultural Genetics.” This joint event aims to foster interdisciplinary scientific collaboration, enabling researchers and experts to exchange knowledge and experiences in these critical fields.

The OBSIDIAN conference has established itself as a key forum for presenting the latest scientific advancements, attracting leading scientists and specialists from around the world. This year’s central theme will focus on salinity and its impact on the environment, humans, plants, and animals, aligning with the strategic goals of COST Action SUSTAIN.

We encourage all eligible participants to submit their applications before the new deadline of April 7, 2025. Selections will be made by the Working Group leaders based on engagement in Action activities.

Important Dates for the Joint Event:

  • April 7, 2025 – New application deadline for the SUSTAIN Annual Meeting
  • May 1, 2025 – WG Leaders’ decision and notification of acceptance for the SUSTAIN Annual Meeting
  • May 30, 2025 – Deadline for OBSIDIAN registration with abstracts and payment of conference fees
  • June 2, 2025 – Decision of the OBSIDIAN Scientific Committee on presentation format (poster or oral presentation)
  • June 6, 2025 – Deadline for OBSIDIAN registration for participants without presentations and posters
  • June 9, 2025 – Deadline for OBSIDIAN poster submission (as PDF in A4 format, vertical layout)

However, these lands can be used by applying saline agriculture, involving soil, water and salt-tolerant crop management methods.
