It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2nd Training School of the SUSTAIN Cost Action (CA22144) titled: “Knowledge exchange and sharing best practices for sustainable use of salt-affected lands” to be held at the University of East Sarajevo in Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and kindly organised by its Faculty of Production and Management from the 9th to the 11th of September, 2024.

Description
This face-to-face training school includes lectures, workshop sessions, field day, and final assignment of the studied knowledge to the relevant local students. The main objective is knowledge exchange and sharing best practices for sustainable use of salt-affected lands
Trainees will be asked to:
- attend all the sessions actively;
- present themselves and their study in front of all the event participants. Please prepare a 10 min Power Point presentation;
- Participants will be selected based on the COST inclusiveness criteria, ensuring gender balance, empowering young researchers, and achieving equal distribution of national representatives.

Organizational details
- Up to 20 trainees will be selected and financially supported (long distance travel and daily allowance) by SUSTAIN according to the Annotated Rules.
- Please note that the participants are responsible to organise their accommodation, transportation, visa, etc. on their own.
- Please bring your laptop if possible and a notebook to write notes.
- For the field day and city tour: light clothes and closed shoes for fieldwork, sun protection including a hat and sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.
- Please make sure to arrange your transport – we want to start and finish on time.
